Our awards

Since 2010, ARMOR has received many awards in recognition of certain fine achievements. These have been made possible via fruitful collaborative projects conducted with trusted partners.

A prototype rewarded with a “Star” from Observeur du Design

Produced by students from L’École de Design Nantes Atlantique within the framework of a partnership with ARMOR, the Orion lamp composed of an ASCA® photovoltaic film rolled up on the inside received a “Star” at the 2015 Observeur du Design awards.

Awarded since 1999 by the ACPI agency for industrial creativity, this year 150 products and services were recognised, 29 of which received a “Star”, including the Orion lamp. All of the projects recognised were presented at the Equation(s) Design exhibition at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in Paris.

“Everyone agrees that we must change paradigm if we are to meet the energy challenges of tomorrow. The work carried out by the students for the Orion project is full of promise for future generations. It demonstrates that the combination of creativity, innovation and know-how produces more than just a product; it introduces new uses while preserving social cohesion and our natural resources.  This award not only recognises their talent, but also their optimistic vision for the future.”  François Barreau, Marketing & Business Development Manager

ASCA® recognised at the IDtechEx global printed electronics exhibition

During the IDtechEx global printed electronics exhibition held in Santa Clara, USA, the ability of the ASCA® film to be rolled up inside the Orion lamp was voted Best Product Concept of the Year 2015.

“This award is recognition of the work performed by our technical team which opens up new uses for photovoltaic technology.” François Barreau, Marketing & Business Development Manager.

ASCA® wins everyone over at the World Efficiency Forum

Among all of the innovations presented at this exhibition, ASCA® was selected as one of the 13 most exemplary solutions in terms of natural resources and climate. The award was made during the World Efficiency Forum 2015, held before COP21.

“The technology developed by ARMOR is highly innovative. Proposing autonomous lighting solutions with applications in isolated regions is a very interesting initiative. Your technology can really help to trigger a process of soul-searching regarding the use of electricity and the necessity of saving energy by modifying behaviour.”  Didier Houssin, CEO of IFPEN

Citigami powered by ASCA® receives the bronze medal at the Lépine awards

Our partner Litogami, a designer and publisher of solar objects, receives the bronze medal at the 2017 Lépine Awards for its illuminated cards powered by the ASCA® photovoltaic film.

“We are very satisfied with how the Citigami card was received by exhibition visitors, who can now purchase the card from new outlets: the Artazart library-gallery and at the Cité de l’Architecture.”  Marc Lebas, founder of Litogami
